Integrating EEG and fMRI
ONLINE CONSENT INFORMATION
- Why is this study being done?
- What am I being asked to do?
You will be instrumented with EEG sensors, and asked to look at a series of pictures, and push a button when you see one that looks unusual.
- How long will I be in the study?
You will be in the study for approximately two hours.
- What are the Costs?
Participation in this study is completely voluntary, you will be compensated for the time you spend in the lab with us.
- What are the Risks?
There are no risks for those participating as observers.
- Are there Benefits to taking part in the study?
There will be no direct health benefits to you as a volunteer. However the prospect of observing patients who could not otherwise be imaged with MRI in the future.
- What other Options are there?
Participation is completely voluntary. You may choose not to participate, or terminate your participation at any point in the study without any penalty or loss of benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.
- What about Confidentiality?
This study is completely confidential. Any personal information that is collected will be de-identified in compliance with HIPAA (for example, gender and self-determined ethnicity).
If you would like a copy of any publications resulting from this study, please let a member of the research team know and a copy will be sent to you in the form you request.
